Update Published April 1, 2025

Every Apple iPod, regardless of subcategory, release date, processor, or other attribute, is listed below.

First introduced in 2001 as a 5 GB digital music player -- a huge capacity for its time -- the iPod started as a single device. Over the years, though, it expanded into a variety of options with different audio and video capabilities and ended its career in 2022 as the iPod touch, essentially an iPhone without a phone.

All iPod models follow; this includes the iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod shuffle, and iPod touch series. Each series also can be viewed individually if you just are interested in a subset of models.

Click on a specific device for its complete technical specs, capacity options, identification details, original price in dozens of countries, and more.

Click on the triangle to the left of a product to open "Quick Specs" -- identifiers and basic configuration details -- and click on the name or image for complete specifications. You also can lookup Macs and other Apple products by their identifiers.

Asterisks indicate that particularly important details are provided on the applicable specs page. Also note that configurations listed are the default or most common; many models have multiple options. Refer to the specs page for full details.
